Local Ministry Serve Opportunities

Rochester Area Neighborhood House Inc., a nonprofit human services organization founded by communities of faith in 1968, assists our neighbors during times of hardship. RANH collaborates with the community and other social service providers to help those neighbors in financial crisis move toward self-sustainability. Services include a Clothes Closet and Food Pantry where donations are always welcome. Upcoming events and lists of needed items are posted on the website – www.ranh.org. Family of God is a non-profit Lutheran ministry committed to bringing the transformative power of the Gospel to the lives of those living in southwest Detroit.  You are invited to serve by joining a team to prepare and serve food monthly as a way to build friendship that can open the door to bring hope to the hopeless by showing the community the love and compassion that our Savior Jesus Christ has for everyone. St. Paul Community Lutheran Church, Pontiac meets people where they are in life with the Gospel that changes lives.  Worship services on Sundays and Bible Studies on Wednesday nights are reaching people of diverse race and culture.  The food pantry, clothing closet and Wednesday night family meals are a lifeline of hope for many in the community.  To be a part of our St John team to prepare monthly a Wednesday night meal or volunteer in the Food Pantry or donate non-perishable food items, contact St. John liaison Pastor Jon Trinklein at 586-201-9217.

 

Crossroads Care Center is a nonprofit, Christian Organization dedicated to assisting abortion-vulnerable women and men involved in an unplanned pregnancy to choose life for their unborn child. Toward that end, we are committed to encouraging godly sexual attitudes and practices in our community.  Services include pregnancy testing, limited ultrasound, STD testing, post-abortion support and most importantly PRAYER.  Crossroads also provides needed items for parents and their babies.
